No matter what type of home you live in, you want the best wood flooring and the best service. With over 80 years of expertise and dedicated service to the Greater Kansas City area, Acme is uniquely positioned to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Whether you need us to refinish and or repair your existing flooring or install new floors, you can count on our experienced and friendly staff to offer you fair prices, top quality materials and responsive service you will not find anywhere else.

Prefinished Wood Floors

Unlike many flooring companies, we own two wood flooring production facilities – one in Lenexa, Kansas, and the other in Brighton, Missouri. This means we control the quality of each stage of manufacturing for our prefinished hardwood floors, and can custom stain and coat your floors to suit your color and surface shine preference. Prefinished floors are quickly installed, and a U. V. -cured urethane coating applied at our facilities offers long-lasting protection.

Rift and Quartered Wood Floors

Floors crafted in the rift and quartered method have a distinctive look, as tree growth rings represent themselves on the face of each board as straight grain, with none of the visible cathedral grain or plain sawn look that appears on most wood flooring. Rift and quartered floors are also extremely stable durable.

Hand Scraped Wood Floors

The meticulous craftsmanship involved in our hand scraping gives your floors a one-of-a-kind look that enhances the natural color variations and knots, wormholes, burls and other characteristics of the lumber. Hand-scraped floors give any room a feeling of authenticity, as each plank is truly unique.

Wide-Plank Wood Floors

Choosing wide-plank wood flooring for your home enables you to continue the tradition of timeless Colonial style or to achieve the contemporary look you have always wanted, depending on the stain and finish. You can choose almost any color and wood type to suit the unique styling of your residence, and enhance this with your choice of grain, grade, pattern and inlays.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Whether you desire to restore your wood floors to their original state, would like a new color and finish for your wood floors, want to hand-scrape existing planks for a distressed look or want to start over, our team of experts is ready to meet your refinishing needs. With over 80 years of experience, we know how to get your floors looking exactly how you would like them to be.
